High School on 29/03/2026, participation 96 Nos. of Students, promoting intellectual growth and sportsmanship among students and local participants. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from budding chess players, creating a competitive yet friendly atmosphere. Proper arrangements, fair play, and time management ensured smooth conduct of the tournament. Winners were awarded trophies and certificates, encouraging young talents to pursue the game further. Project “ANNAPURNA” at NIRAPAD ORPHAN HOME on 22.03.2026 Project “ANNAPURNA” was successfully conducted by our Rotary Club SILK CITY MALDA at Nirapad Orphan Home, Chandipur, Malda on 22.03.2026. The initiative aimed to provide nutritious meals and support to the children residing there. Rotarians actively participated in distributing food items and spent quality time interacting with the children, spreading joy and warmth. School on 27/02/2026 On 27/02/2026 the Rotary Club Silk City Malda organized a meaningful community service project by distributing high and low benches (Six Pair) to Aiho Girl’s Primary School to improve the classroom environment for students. The benches were provided to ensure comfortable seating and to support better learning conditions. Blood Donation Camp

Participation in Blood Donation Camp on 29/12/2025 Internation Rotary Club Dist. 3240 ZONE – IV organized a Blood Donation Camp as part of its community service initiative to promote voluntary blood donation and save lives. The camp was conducted on 14/12/2025 at Rotary Sadan in collaboration with all 5 Nos. Rotary Club including Rotary Club of Silk City Malda. Rotarians, club members, and local volunteers actively participated in the programme. A total of 58 units of blood were collected following all safety and medical protocols. The camp successfully raised awareness about the importance of regular blood donation and reflected Rotary’s commitment to humanitarian service.

Free Dental Check-up Camp

On 26/12/2025 a Free Dental Check-up Camp was successfully organized at Gopalpur Pry. School by the Rotary Club of Silk City Malda in observance of Disease Prevention and Treatment Month. Qualified dentists Rtn. Dr. Amit Kumar Saha & Dr. Pritam Biswas conducted oral health examinations and provided guidance on dental hygiene. Necessary medicines were distributed free of cost to patients as required. The camp benefited 155 Nos. of students and reinforced Rotary’s commitment to preventive healthcare and community well-being.

Dr. Himachal Das of the Rotary District 3240 a WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) Programme aimed at promoting healthy living and community well-being at KRISHNAPUR MGD. PRYMARY SCHOOL. The event featured motivational talks, team-building exercises, and skill-enhancement workshops conducted by expert trainers. Participants showed excellent involvement and discipline throughout. Participation on Polio Day Rally organized by AG Zone - V on 24/10/2025 Rotary District Zone 4 Assistant Governor Rtn. Dr. Himachal Das organized a Polio Day Rally with enthusiastic participation from all clubs including our club RC Silk City Malda in the zone. Members and NGO’s like Pachimbanga Bigyan Mancha joined hands to spread awareness about eradicating polio. The rally featured banners, placards, and slogans promoting “End Polio Now.” It highlighted Rotary’s long-standing commitment to a polio-free world. Student of our Happy School felicitated

Today, Shriman Ankush Roy, a student of our Happy School (Old Malda Kalachand High School) was felicitated by the members of the Rotary Club of Silk City. Ankush won the state level Taekwondo competition this year and is going to participate in the National Games in Arunachal Pradesh. Ankushs father is a biscuit hawker and he does not even have the clothes to participate in the National Games. On receiving this news, the Rotary officials rushed to the spot and today, at the school prayer assembly, they handed over a new dress to Ankush. His coach Krishna Basfor was also felicitated. President Rtn Chandan, Club Youth Service Chairman Rtn Suman & Club Mentor Rtn Kamal wishes best to Ankush for the forthcoming National meet.

Celebrate Independence Day week by the Interactors on 14.08.2025 “In every competition, there are no winners or losers, only learners” To celebrate Independence Day week, On 14.08.2025 Our Interactors organised a quiz program about Independence Day among class 11 students. In this program 20 teams(each team consisting 2 members) were participated. From this 20 teams 6 teams were upgraded for final. Champions: Subhajit Roy and Poumita Das 1st runner up: Dwitoy Biswas and Nidhi Debnath We gave trophies to all finalists. 600 rupees and 400 rupees were given to champions and runners up respectively as prize money. All teaching and non teaching stuffs and President of Rotary club of Silk city , Rtn Chandan Ghosh , Rtn Bimal Roy were present in this program.

Providing relief to the most affected by the erosion of the Ganga on 10.08.2025 “Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will” We have finished providing relief on 10.08.2025. The local administration had identified 103 families in Shrikantatola village of Mahanandatola GP who were the most affected by the erosion of the Ganga. Accordingly, we brought relief to 110 families. When we arrived, we found that six villages were flooded. More than 800 families were affected. So we will come again in the second round. Two day mega plantation drive on 27/07/25 PART-II

“To plant a garden is to dream of tomorrow.” One step to green Place: Across Malda and Murshidabad. Following the success of the first part of the mega plantation drive on the previous day, the Rotary Club of Silk City- Malda, underwent with the second part of the project on the next day. The project commenced with the aim of planting 120 saplings long the return stretch between Murshidaabad and Malda. The enthusiastic members with our beloved president Rtn Chandan Ghosh planted the saplings at various points while their return from the destination to complete the project. Given the dedication and enthusiasm of the club members the second part of the drive was also completed successfully. Hence, once again the club and its members proved their will and hard work towards making the world a better place in every way possible and contributing their part towards a green environment.

Two day mega plantation drive on 26/07/25 PART-I

“Grow more trees for a better tomorrow” One step to green Place: Across Malda (BSF camp) and Murshidabad. A two day sapling plantation drive was undertaken by The Rotary Club of Silk City, Malda. It was presided by the club president Rtn. Chandan Ghosh, in the presence of the senior club members. The onset of monsoon provides a perfect ambience for replenishing the natures bounty. Hence taking the advantage of this great opportunity the members of the club undertook this ambitious project to plant 180 saplings during upward stretch between Malda and Murshidaabad districts. Our dedicated team of club members planted the saplings at various locations while journeying towards murshidaabad from malda. The first half of the drive was completed with great results and it is contemplated that the next half will be as successful as the first one.
